Blackhawks line changes analysis

The Blackhawks crime looked lively in scoring 15 goals their first two matches of this year. Due to the explosive potential, trainer Joel Quenneville had not tinkered with his traces over the initial ten games. But that soon may change. Following the Golden Knights skated across the slow Hawks in coping them a 4-2 loss Tuesday, Quenneville suggested moves might be on the road to get a group which has outshot its opponents only once in its last nine matches. "That is definitely something we could look at ... understanding that we are constantly shifting over the course of a year," Quenneville said. However, overall, Tuesday exemplified what's ailed the Hawks recently. Toews said the group hasn't managed to create enough offensive zone moment. This has resulted in the Hawks…

Nashville Predators named The best franchise in sports

Great morning Chicago Blackhawks Lovers! The Chicago Blackhawks do not play again until Friday night when the Nashville Predators arrive in city for the 2nd period in October. Funny thing about the Predators is that they were called by ESPN as the best franchise in the NHL. There are a whole lot of things I'd say concerning the Nashville Predators, however since the very best franchise in the NHL isn't among these. For starters the Nashville Predators haven't won the Stanley Cup, therefore by crying out scoreboard it must automatically remove them as the best franchise in the NHL. They left their first Stanley Cup Final last season, and do not get me wrong, the town actually rallied around the Predators. Living 2 and half an hour from Nashville at…

Chicago Blackhawks biggest question mark coming into this season was their defense

Their inability to maintain control of the puck when allowing opponents to stack in their goaltenders is now a significant problem 10 games into this season. 1 factor of drama they are neglecting to restrain, however, is that the crime and its own inability to keep puck possession and maintain momentum in matches. The Blackhawks have allowed their opponents to maintain the strain, overwhelm their shield and induce their goaltenders to work overtime. Let us break it down. The Blackhawks are among the worst teams to date this year seeing their shots against per game. Actually, they are the third-worst team having an average of 35.6 shots against per game. In the previous 3 games, they have allowed 104 shots to reach their goaltenders, that have allowed eight goals in…

Three questions with Duncan Keith, Blackhawks defenseman

The Blackhawks greeted Eddie Olczyk warmly when he recently visited the team's dressing room. Some players hung out longer compared others to share many of Olczyk's stories and talk about him currently battling against colon cancer. One of the players was Duncan Keith. He is someone who really has an appreciation for hockey history as well as the players who came before his time. After I saw Keith with Olczyk, I wondered about the relationships he has had with Blackhawks alumni over the 12 NHL seasons he has been with the organization. Also I was wondering whether or not he had known the late Pierre Pilote, who is recently deceased, and considered to be the all time greatest defensemen of the Blackhawks. Scott Powers: Were you acquainted at all with…

Roster Projection for the Chicago Blackhawks Following 4 Preseason Games

Preparing for a new NHL season wouldn't be complete without attempting to guess who will be on the opening roster of the Chicago Blackhawks coming out of training camp? The Chicago Blackhawks have made it through two-thirds of the preseason. On Monday night they lost to the Boston Bruins 402 and are now 2-2. Hopefully no one will be losing any sleep over it. Any time is a good time for projecting who may make the opening night roster of the Blackhawks coming out of training camp. There are only two remaining exhibition games, so within the near future the roster cuts will come fast and furious. Currently the Blackhawks roster has four goaltenders, 11 defensemen and 20 forwards. I will mock up my project with the assumption that the…

Preview of 2017-18 NHL season: Chicago Blackhawks

Largest Changes: a flurry of offseason moves were made by General Manager Stan Bowman, with the biggest being trading Artemi Panarin, the team's high scoring winger, to the Columbus Blue Jackets in the deal involving Brandon Saad, the former Blackhawks forward. Last season Panarin had a total of 74 points, while Saad hasn't ever scored over 53 points in a season. However, Bowman thought it was necessary to get the grinding two-way game of Saad's back for a team that has lost during the first round that last two years in a row following it run for the 2015 Stanley Cup. In the same deal, Bowman was able to add goaltender Anton Forsberg as a replacement for backup goalie and pending unrestricted free agent Scott Darling, who was traded by…
