Roster Projection for the Chicago Blackhawks Following 4 Preseason Games

Preparing for a new NHL season wouldn’t be complete without attempting to guess who will be on the opening roster of the Chicago Blackhawks coming out of training camp?

The Chicago Blackhawks have made it through two-thirds of the preseason. On Monday night they lost to the Boston Bruins 402 and are now 2-2. Hopefully no one will be losing any sleep over it.

Any time is a good time for projecting who may make the opening night roster of the Blackhawks coming out of training camp. There are only two remaining exhibition games, so within the near future the roster cuts will come fast and furious.

Currently the Blackhawks roster has four goaltenders, 11 defensemen and 20 forwards. I will mock up my project with the assumption that the Blackhawks will begin the regular season with a total of 23 players (they should, unless it isn’t permitted by the salary cap).
